We have a tradition in the Satterthwaite family that on the 4thof July we have our own parade. Instead of going to a parade that is hot and....well....not always our favorite...we have a parade that consists of our favorite parts....our kids and candy.
So, we usually have the kids deorate their bikes and ride them
So, we usually have the kids deorate their bikes and ride them around Mimi and Papa's (my mom and dad) circle driveway. Then Mike drives around the circle and throws out candy as the kids stand around the circle and catch it. This year on the 4th, we were in Island Park, so we just did the candy part. This is the adults watching. And our pilot all decorated up...the entire parade...and Mike throwing out candy.

What fun! It looks like you had a great family get-together with the best of both worlds. Camp fires and a cabin/house. I'm becoming too much of a wimp to sleep in tents anymore! Remember our camping trip to Bear Lake with Tori when we all got completely fried and then the sore, miserable ride home? Good times!
